6 year old • Male • 48 lbs
Jake has a soft, low-shed coat with velvety ears. He has a blaze of white on his chest and a bit of white on his muzzle.
If Gentleman Jake were in high school, he would win the Most Well Rounded Award. Gentleman Jake is precisely that—a gentleman. He is quiet and respectful, and very affectionate but not needy. He will sit quietly with you or in a nearby room while you work or cook, but will happily go on a walk (he is great on a leash!).
Jake is also quiet in the car, completely housebroken, and sleeps through the night in his crate.
He gets along great with the resident dogs—happy to play or leave them alone, based on their vibe at the time. There are no children in his foster home, but Jake is reported to have been good with kids. He has a history of chasing cats.
Jake will make a terrific companion for someone who wants an easygoing, loving, well-adjusted, endearing dog.
