All About Me

Nahla is a petite puppy, light tan with specs of white, with satellite ears that sometimes stick straight out!

Nahla is such a sweet little girl. She wants to please her people and is quick to learn. Nahla needs a fenced yard in her adoptive home and while she would do well with another small- to medium-size dog as a companion, she would also do well as an only dog in a home where her people are home most of the time (post -pandemic). She is house-trained but is still very young and currently needs to go out every two hours. She also needs a home with adults only, with no children or grandchildren in the home or visiting—where people are very patient and kind, and willing to spend time working with her.

She is still a fearful little girl: afraid of men at first but gradually grows more comfortable and then is perfectly fine; afraid to be picked up and held; afraid of new experiences. So she needs owners who are sensitive to this. With time, these fears may subside as she begins to feel more secure in her new home.

Nahla has not learned how to walk on a leash yet. She is crate-trained but doesn't need to be crated when you leave the house; she just needs to be in a gated area. There she never ruins anything and just plays with her toys.

Nahla loves to follow the resident older dog around the house and fenced yard, and looks to her constantly to learn the ropes about what to do—copying her every move from how to behave to new tricks. Nahla comes when called. She knows the command of Sit, and loves to play fetch and will bring the ball back to you.

When going on car rides Nahla needs to be crated. She is afraid of being at a vet, so she also needs a muzzle; she can then be handled easily with no issues.

Nahla is learning to grow more social every day and adores having several people around, even though cautious when first meeting them. She always wants to be the center of attention and is so playful! Check out her videos where you can see her playing chase and hide-and-seek, and chasing a remote control car! She just flies around the yard! To get your attention she sometimes dances on her hind legs.

Nahla will make a wonderful companion for a loving family wanting to continue her puppy training!
