Franny is a beautiful black Lab mix with some white on her muzzle and soulful, inquisitive brown eyes.
Franny is so sweet! Her tail is constantly wagging and she loves to be petted and lie near her humans. She is very quiet and doesn't bark. Franny gets along very well with my dogs. She also loves to play with toys, either carrying them around or chewing them. Franny also loves to go for walks and loves to sniff everything. She wags her tail at all people and dogs walking by. Franny is taking Cosequin for her arthritis, and combined with two walks a day, this has made her much more limber. She can now easily go up and down stairs. Franny goes into her crate without objection and she has been good for short periods. At night she sleeps in a dog bed next to my bed.

Franny is up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped. She tested positive for heartworm and is receiving a gentle protocol (during the first month 28 days of doxycycline and a heartgard twice, followed by twice a month heartgard for a year). This method gradually clears the dog of heartworms and generally the dog will test negative after one year. We expect Franny to be clear by mid-August 2021. Until the dog tests negative, some exercise restrictions apply: The dog shouldn't be allowed to run or to play with other dogs (which gets their heart rate up), or be walked in excessive heat between 8 am and 8 pm (ideally only 20-30 minutes), but can do most normal activities.
Franny's owners could no longer care for her.
