5 year old • Male • 90 lbs
Petey D has a white coat with dark brown patches, and splotches of gray on his face and pink near his nose and ears.
Happy, waggy, and friendly to people, Petey D has never met a person he does not like! When we're out and about, like on trails, he gets compliments on what a good-looking guy he is. Petey D is house-trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He loves his belly rubs and will put his head on your lap when he feels he needs some people time. He does not chew anything other than his favorite tennis balls, which he is still learning to fetch--but really he's just happy to have playtime. Petey D responds to commands when given motivation and recently learned how to shake. Ah, but he only shakes when he knows he’s getting treats. Such a smart fella! He loves his 30-minute walks twice daily.
The only reason we are saying no to young kids is because he is so big he could unintentionally knock them over. Petey D is great as an only dog, but could also be good with another dog with a similar personality. Petey D is a super-sweet and outgoing dog who knows how to live in a home with people. He is funny, attentive, smart . . . and, wait, did I mention handsome? He is an amazing dog looking for a loving family.
Petey D is healthy, although slightly overweight (we're working on that). He is up-to-date on vaccinations, and is microchipped, neutered, and heartworm negative.
Petey D belonged to a senior couple who was no longer able to care for him.
