All About Me

Andy is a very handsome brown with a splash of white running from chin to chest, and white on all four paws.

Andy is an energetic young boy with lots of love (and kisses!) to give. To burn off some of that energy, Andy likes chasing a tennis ball or playing with other dogs, and he LOVES chasing a boomer ball (watch the video to see what a boomer ball is). When it is time to calm down, he enjoys curling up by your feet on the couch or at the desk. He has also done well living with another dog and meeting new dogs at the park, which has helped him learn better doggie manners since leaving the shelter.

Andy's high energy likely makes him unsuitable for a house with young children; but after a little wariness, he warmed right up to the older children he has met in the neighborhood.

An energetic dog like Andy needs plenty of mental exercise, too; and he is very attentive for treats during training time. He is learning Sit, Lay down, and Shake hands, and has gotten very good when asked to Wait at an open door, when getting out of the car, and at mealtime. He also does well in his crate both during the day and overnight.

An extra bonus: Andy prefers a well-manicured lawn--so if there is a weed sticking up or a blade out of place, he will likely take care of that for you.
