Herbie the Love Bug is black, with floppy ears, and a handsome big head.
Herbie the Love Bug is a big hunk of love. He is playful and energetic, although he will settle down. He enjoys his people, and likes to go on walks and to play with his chewy toys. Herbie also likes to fetch a ball, but ultimately wants to be around his people most of all. We are working on Herbie's leash walking, as he gets really excited to get out there and sniff, although after some time outside, he mellows out. Herbie can respond to Come, Sit, Down, Off, Leave it, No, and Wait.
Herbie needs to have toys to chew on, or else he looks for other, less suitable things. . . . We are also working on teaching him not to jump up on people when greeting them, which is going well. He will need consistency in his training. Herbie still has puppy energy and behaviors, and needs more help on containing his exuberance, as he is a good-sized dog.
