Roscoe is lab/hound mix. He has short black fur with white accents and the most soulful brown eyes.
Roscoe is sweet and funny, very playful and active. He loves to chase balls, play fetch and tug, and gets a good case of the zoomies when he is outside. So it would be great if he had a fenced-in yard. Roscoe can be a little shy at first because he lived his life on a chain without a lot of human interaction. But once he gets to know you he is sweet, gentle, and loving. He needs that special person who can see how special HE is. Roscoe is a wonderful house companion. He is crate trained and housebroken, and knows lots of commands. Roscoe would do best in a quiet home with an experienced dog person. He loves to go for walks on the leash, and we have been working with him on not pulling when he sees a squirrel, etc. He also loves to go for rides in the car. Roscoe is a dog who will let you know you are loved and he will be your best friend.

Roscoe is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. He is being treated for heartworm using the gentle slow protocol. He is well into his treatment and should be testing negative within the next month or two. He is in great health otherwise.
Roscoe came from a rural county shelter and concerned neighbors came to us for help.
