History

Sundae was taken to a rural shelter with her 8 puppies, as a victim of an animal cruelty case. She and her pups had been forced to live in a tiny pen with little shelter, food or water, in unsanitary conditions. The shelter staff loved her, she was a patient and loving mother to her babies, even in the shelter environment. The shelter was able to find a rescue to take her puppies. However, in this rural area, adult dogs are difficult to adopt out, and Sundae's time was up. An IAR foster parent recognized her special qualities and knew this wonderful dog must be saved. Now with her puppies safe in rescue, Sundae is ready to find her own forever home!

IAR Sponsored Training

IAR subsidizes post-adoption professional training with Jane Marshall (www.cheerydogs.com) to encourage a life-long and successful bond between the dog and the adopter. Group classes for puppies and adult dogs are provided at a substantial discount to IAR adopters.
