All About Me

Rosie is bonded to another cat and would like to be adopted together. Please check her Best Friends section.

Hi! My name is Rosie! I'm a very social little tortie cat with a very healthy sense of curiosity and wonder about the world around me! I just love the people in my foster home; I'm always excited when someone walks in the room, so I'm the first to greet them with a cute little "mew"!

I'm really lucky that my foster family includes a foster Grandma (I call her Grammie)! I love how much time she spends with me and my foster sister, Christine! She's really helped us feel safe and secure after pretty rough starts in life.

I was rescued by a very kind person when I was just a little thing - I was pretty malnourished, but I was such a survivor! I had been eating bugs just to get by until I finally found this nice person to help me out. I was way too little to be on my own, but I was determined to keep going! I threw up all those bugs when I got to IAR, and they helped me learn how to eat kitten food again! My tummy was a mess for a while, but thanks to some good ol' fashioned IAR TLC, I'm all better! I started putting on weight quickly once we got my digestive system back on track, and now my foster people say I might even be a little chunky and let me tell you, I am here for that!

When I first met Christine, I wasn't so sure about her, but we quickly figured out that it's really fun to have a sister to romp and play with! We learned how to wrestle, do kitten zoomies, and chase toys together, and we even share the recliner with Grammie for long cat naps! We're perfect playmates and we hope we can stay together in a forever home!

I'm kind of a jokester - I love to make the foster people laugh with my funny little kitten antics! I can turn just about anything into a toy, regardless of its original purpose! Empty toilet paper roll? TOY! Bottle Cap? TOY! Empty box? TOY! I'm a big fan of reuse and recycle!

I am still a little unsure of new people, but my curiosity gets the best of me, so I have to check them out pretty quickly! I'll probably always have a little bit of the stray-cat caution in new situations, but the people tell me that's totally normal and I'm wise for being cautious! It's what kept me safe back then, and it'll keep me safe now!

Would you like to meet me and Christine? It's easy - just have your people call our people (by clicking the apply to adopt button below!) and the foster peeps will arrange an introduction once approved by the adoption coordinators! We're looking forward to meeting you!
