All About Me

Ellie has tan, brown, and white hair, a button nose, and big round brown eyes. She must be groomed every 4- to 6 weeks.

Ellie Bell is sweet, friendly, and simply adorable! Her favorite activities include moving around the living room, trying every dog and cat bed until she finds the perfect one to snuggle into for a nap, asking you to give her some of your scrambled eggs at breakfast, and having her ears scratched. She doesn't have any teeth, so she eats mainly soft food; but she sneaks her foster brother's kibble any chance she gets!

Ellie makes the cutest little noises when she's eating, burrowing in her bed or asking you for a bite of your dinner.

She is leash-, crate-, and house-trained, and loves to prance around the yard for walks.

Shy in public situations, Ellie needs someone who either has a fenced yard or can commit to yard leash-walking only. She is a homebody and isn't the type to socialize outside of the home. Still, she doesn't know a stranger. She will greet anyone who approaches, with her tail wagging and a special look in her eye that says she's hoping for pets.

While she is completely comfortable around other animals, she is best with calm and older pets, and those who will ignore her. Ellie can comfortably live with older children who understand the slower pace of an older dog.

Although she's not a lap dog and doesn't enjoy being held for long periods of time, she wants to be near you whenever she can. She likes to lie by you in whichever room you are in.
