All About Me
Cordelia is a playful, petite young lady looking for true love. She always wants to be where the action is, and always hopes it's in your lap or arms!
Cordelia usually prefers the company of humans and might be fine as an only pet if she gets lots of play and snuggle time with her human(s). She has also made friends with her foster siblings, and we believe that the ideal household for her would have one or two patient and friendly cats who can help her continue to work on her manners, and give her space when she needs it. She can get territorial with her humans because she just loves them so much, and before she felt comfortable with the other cats, she usually followed her foster mom from room to room and sat on her feet or right behind her, "guarding" her from the other cats in the house. Either way, Cordelia will do best in a home with experienced cat owners.
We think that Cordelia had a litter of kittens when she was still basically a kitten herself, and afterwards found her way to a feral colony in search of food and safety. In late September 2021, she was spayed and ear-tipped (very small and hardly noticeable) but so sweet and calm that IAR made space for her in our foster program.
She is grateful to be dry, warm, and safe, and so happy to be in the company of humans. Her birthday is estimated to be October 2020 - she is still a petite cat but growing with her delicious new diet of high-quality food! (As with most former strays, her diet needs to be monitored because she will eat all the food she can find!)
She will take some time to get acclimated to her new home, but once she does she will make a loving, entertaining, faithful friend.
