All About Me

Tuffy is a real sweetheart who enjoys the simple things in life, like being around nice people who enjoy his company and take care of him. When his elderly owner couldn't care for him anymore, he was taken out of the only home he knew and boarded at a kennel with strangers. Then he had more strangers doing things to him at the IAR clinic before he could go to a foster home. It was such a scary time for him--his whole world was turned upside down!

Tuffy was so frightened at first, but he has adapted really well to his foster home: he enjoys lounging about, hanging out with his people, and keeping an eye on whatever is going on. He's not a kitten anymore, and he is declawed (we're not happy about that, but it's how he came to us), so he won't get into trouble or destroy your furnishings. He likes to provide morning greetings in bed, and he has an endearing quirk of zoning out while tugging on a blanket and kneading it. He appreciates food and attention, and he purrs a lot, although it's usually very quiet.

Tuffy is not shy, but he will likely be scared for a little while in a new living situation. He will do best in a reasonably calm and predictable environment, preferably with a patient person who has experience with cats. All he wants is to feel safe and secure in a forever home. Can you give him that?

All IAR cats will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines at the time of adoption.
