6 year old • Female
Blue-grey with a few white spots on her belly.
As curious as she is sweet, Sophie is a regal darling who thrives with a human who can give her a lot of love. She purrs as soon as she sees a human-- any human, even the 4-year-old boy who likes to carry her around the house and hide her in his toybox. When she sees a friend working on a laptop or watching TV she immediately bounces up to find a warm spot to lay and be petted. But when she's ready to play, watch out! She'll bring her owner toys and wait patiently until someone teases her with the kitty wand or tosses balls for her to chase.
She plays really well with her brothers, and curiously shadows the older cats in the household, meowing to ask why they don't play with her. Sophie is fully litter trained and is happy eating dry cat food left in a bowl for her all day. Sophie's mom was FIV positive and Sophie still has some antibodies, but will probably test FIV-negative soon. She's had all her shots and has been spayed and is ready to go home with a new family today.
Sophie was found under a house with her siblings and no mom in sight. She has been with IAR volunteers since she was 4 or 5 weeks old.
