All About Me

Piper is a brown marbled tabby with very striking brown/amber eyes.

Piper is extremely snuggly. She is never far from your side and enjoys sleeping in your lap or next to you. She enjoys burrowing under covers if you will let her. Piper does not enjoy being picked up, but will tolerate it. She is much happier to sit with you and nap. As her rescuer put it, Piper is truly a pro sleeper! Piper is very playful and enjoys running around with her foster mates. Piper loves to get in bags and hide. She also likes to sleep curled up with another kitten if she is unable to sleep near you. She often sleeps on the bed with her foster parents at night. Piper gets along with her foster mates, but this took some time. She is a little territorial probably from having to fend for herself for so long. She will talk when eating around other kittens, but does not physically harm the other cats and still allows them to eat near her while letting them know not to try anything. 🙂 She sounds a lot like the nom nom nom kitten! Piper is closest to her foster mate, Lugh. She also could be adopted with Timber, Lily Mae, Timon, Misty, Mew, or Whiskey if you are looking for a pair of kittens. Piper is a wonderful kitten who will warm your heart. She is negative for FIV/FeLV and up to date on all of her shots. She is scheduled to be spayed in early January and is ready for a family of her own. See pictures of Piper and her foster mates here.

History

Piper was living at the dump when she hitched a ride in the wheel hub of a garbage truck. She meowed so much during her terrifying ride that the drivers found her after hearing her for a round trip from Chapel Hill to Burlington.
