All About Me

MoJo is a sleek, medium-sized black cat with shiny, silky short fur. He does not seem to shed very much.

Best words to describe MoJo: Happy and Humble. Although MoJo lost one eye due to chronic infection as a kitten, he does not seem to know it is missing. This engaging cat has an upbeat personality, is an affectionate companion, and is grateful for any attention that comes his way. If you sit down, he happily leaps in your lap and goes belly up, and he loves giving nose kisses. He is still a young fellow, and he is active and playful, and a bit mischievous. He loves toy mice and balls, and will happily entertain himself by hiding his toys and playing 'hide and seek'. He does appreciate an audience for this performance.

Although he would be a great only cat, he easily makes friends with other kitties, and has never hissed at other cats in his foster home - he even charmed and befriended the kitty Diva. He likes any soft bed, and loves sitting at the top of his cat perch and looking out the window, knowing he is now safe inside.

History

MoJo was a homeless kitty living with a group of feral cats. He came to the attention of IAR when he was taken in for neuter and vaccinations, where the staff thought he was too sick for this to be done, and too sweet to let go back outside. His right eye had been irreversibly damaged from untreated infection. IAR took him in, and we plan definitive removal of that eye in early January 2015. He is healthy and happy, and is thriving in foster care.
