All About Me

Victor is a handsome male kitten without eyes. He has soft orange tabby fur with a white chest and feet. It is okay if you look twice; it is not every day you see a kitten without eyes! See more pictures of Victor here: http://picasaweb.google.com/juliehohm81/Victor#

Victor's sweet and lively personality would draw attention even if his physical appearance was not so startling but all the extra attention just makes Victor want to show off more. Victor may be blind but he can do anything that a normal kitten can do, including playing with cat teasers, chewing on toy mice and mastering a seven foot cat tower! He likes to talk and enjoys wrestling with his sister, November, just as much as a good cuddling session with his foster mom. Victor is a wonderfully sweet boy who purrs at the very first touch of your hand. He is the perfect balance of affection and hilarious kitten energy! Who needs eyes when everyone who has ever met you falls in love?! Victor's forever home will need to be consistent with the location of food bowls, water dishes, the litter box and furniture due to his blindness. Victor will also take longer to feel comfortable in his new surroundings so he needs a patient adopter willing to give him time to adjust to his new home. Victor can feel movement and hear sounds but since he cannot see, he will be more prone to having his tail closed in doors and being stepped on so we do not recommend Victor be adopted by a family with small children. Due to the special bond Victor has with his sister, November, they are looking for a very loving adopter willing to give both of them the forever home they deserve. Victor and November are both FeLV/FIV negative and litter box trained.

History

Victor was surrendered to a local shelter with his sister, November. Victor developed an eye infection that was not responding to medication. The veterinarians, specialists and his foster mom did the best they could but the infection left the doctors no choice but to remove both of his eyes in order to relieve Victor's pain and save his life. Victor was very nervous when he first came back to his foster home after his surgery. He was upset by loud noises, smells of other cats and fast movement to the point that his foster mom was very worried. The vet suggested bringing his sister, November, into his recovery room for a visit. As soon as November came in the room, Victor was more at ease. With his sister by his side, Victor has made a full recovery and is a fearless and rambunctious little boy! Due to the special bond Victor has with his sister, November, they are looking for an equally special adopter willing to give both of them the forever home they deserve after such a rough start.
