11 year old • Male
Brown tabby with white feet, blaze, and the tip of his tail. His striping is dark and constrasting in a swirled pattern.
Rex can only be described as a complete ham with a big personality! He will probably grow to be a bigger boy based on his feet and looong tail. He's got a handsome profile and his coat often leaves people staring. He is a curious and playful guy who is always up for some action. He loves to play and wrestle with his sister and mom, but his favorite toys are furry mice and a laser pointer. You will often see him carrying a mouse in his mouth, and even though he tries to growl in a big, tough manner, his sister will frequently steal it from him. He will go absolutely nuts when he sees that red laser, climbing walls and dashing across furniture. When it comes to naptime, he enjoys laying near his people and will sometimes come over nuzzling and purring. His foster mom raised him from a tiny 2 week old kitten, so he has had a lot of experience with humans handling him and has grown up in a full, loud house. He will tolerate just about everything, including being held on his back like a baby and having his nails trimmed. The only objection he'll give is a tiny, squeaky request to be put down. He does try to get into trouble occassionally, but only needs his name called or the shake of a squirt bottle as a deterrent. All around, he's a wonderful, comical companion and would do well in just about any environment. He does need to go to a home willing to provide him with playtime or a close companion.
Rex was 1 of 4 kittens born in an area shelter. All four kittens came to their foster mom at 2 weeks old with upper-respiratory infections and only Rex and his sister survived. Rex recovered within days has had no recurrences, despite stress, and has been 100% healthy ever since.
