Baxter is a large boy with a pure white coat that's as soft as rabbit's fur. He has big blue eyes and an endearing cross-eyed expression. There is an ongoing (and comical) debate at the vet's office as to whether or not he's deaf; sometimes he will react to sound and other times you can hold a loud, noisy object to his ear and he won't seem to notice it at all. It could be that he's just a super chill cat, which leaves us with a mystery on our hands. In any case, there are no outward signs and you wouldn't know the difference between him and hearing cats other than his high tolerance for the vacuum cleaner.

Love bug alert! Baxter is a total sweetheart who greets friends and visitors warmly, winding himself around their legs and giving head butts. He is totally outgoing and takes no time to warm to strangers. He would probably be a great cat for a family with children, since he is uber mellow and allows his foster parents to manhandle him silly without complaint or protest. He loves belly rubs and when you pick him up and carry him around, he will curl his paws in the air with delight. He is also a lap cat who enjoys being close. This guy is a gentle giant who will bring many more years of companionship and affection to a lucky new owner.
