Lucy is a beautiful black and white cat with distinctive markings
Lucy is super sweet, and loves to be petted. She will come up and curl up next to you, purring away. She likes to cuddle and play with her feline foster siblings, and gets along quite well with her (large) canine foster brother. She's quite happy to share the bed with you, but is also content curling up on the couch with another kitty. Lucy is a bit shy around strangers, but warms up quickly. She would be a great addition to any household, as she has lots of love to give! Lucy is FIV/FeLV negative and litterbox trained.

Lucy was found living in the woods in a neighborhood in north Durham. We believe she was abandoned by her owners, as she was quite approachable. Lucy had a litter of 5 kittens in April 2007, and was a superb mom despite the dangers of living outdoors with wild animals and heavy traffic. Luckily, Lucy and her babies were looked after by a kindly couple, but they couldn't keep the family permanently. IAR stepped in, and now Lucy and her babies are in foster care, waiting for their forever homes. Could you find a place in your heart for this sweet, affectionate kitty?
