All About Me

Miss Teacake is a pretty tortoiseshell calico with an amazing harlequin pattern to her face, and bright alert eyes.

Miss Teacake is a grand Southern Belle, named after a character in a Eudora Welty novel, as befits the glory of this kitty! She has a heart and soul bigger than a mountain. Miss Teacake is EXTREMELY social and lovable. LAPCAT ALERT!!!***LAPCAT ALERT!!!*** Miss Teacake will sit in your lap for hours or as long as you will let her! She will also sleep with you at night and cuddle up. She is quite fluffy and if your power should go out, you won't be cold because Miss Teacake will keep you warm! Miss Teacake has a cute "squawky" voice and she attempts to converse and communicate with us humans. She just wants to be a part of your life! Miss Teacake should do well in a home with gentle kids as long as they are not rough with her. (Kids must be old enough to understand that kitties don't like to be pulled on.) Miss Teacake is gentle, dainty and gets along fine with other cats as long as they don't poster her or jump on her! (She is a grand dame after all and has earned her right to a little peace!) Rarely have I seen a cat with so social a personality. She is healthy, but has a permanent limp due to arthritis in her shoulder. (This doesn't stop her: she can jump better than the kittens!) Please give this lovely senior girl a real home for the first time in her life - she will bring you a lot of joy and love, we promise!

History

Miss Teacake was rescued as part of a massive crowding/hoarding situation in Fuquay. She was one of over 60 cats living cramped and unattended in a tiny house and she needed all types of dental care as her teeth were broken and painful. She probably has never known what a real home for a kitty should be like, but boy does she deserve the best! She is just amazingly sweet. Please meet this darling, dear girl today and you will fall in love with her too!
