Linus is a big (18 lbs!) classic tabby cat with beautiful big yellow green eyes.
Linus is a real sweetheart who will cheerfully sit and let you pet him as long as you like. He is not a super brave cat, but once he settles in and realizes that he is safe he is a real gentleman and a lover boy. He has a motor that matches his large size and he keeps it running all the time while he is being petted. The vet has recommended that he be on a controlled diet to help prevent a recurrence of urinary illness and to help him slim down a bit.
Linus lived with a family for 7 years but as their life changed so did his place in the family. He has been returned to IAR to find a new home, preferably one where he will get a lot of attention. He has lived with other cats before but when he became stressed he began to get into fights with them. Because he is such a big cat and because his first response when he feels threatened is to hiss, we do not recommend he go to a home with very small children. He has had some history of urinary crystals so he will require a wet food diet for the rest of his life.
