All About Me

Earl has a mostly white coat, with a dark grey cap on his head, 2 dark grey spots on his back, and a solid grey tail. His eyes are a beautiful green, almost sagey.

Earl is going to be someone’s best friend! He’s a gentle fella who is overcoming some early life trauma, and he gets braver in his foster home every day! He really loves evening times – he’s quite affectionate with humans and more trusting after the sun goes down. This would make him the perfect match for someone who works daytime hours and is looking for a companion in the evenings – perhaps even better if you are a night owl yourself (he's not rambunctious or disruptive at night by any means, just more active). He loves his kitty window seat and long naps in the sun. He was recently introduced to Octavia, his new foster sister, and is really enjoying having a feline companion. It was love at first sight, which is so rare among adult cats. He looks to her for cues on what’s safe and is starting to come out of his shell even more now that he has this brave little sister. They cuddle together and play together, and even snuggle together with their foster mom, too. It would be really lovely for these two to find a forever home together. Earl will do best in a calm/quiet household with patient people, without young children.

Best Friends

Earl would be especially happy to find a home with another cat from his foster home:

History

Earl was trapped by animal control as a stray and rescued by a feral colony caretaker who had seen him and thought he seemed friendly enough to be a house cat. She was right! He just needs time and gentle people in his life.

Health

Earl is in good health and up to date on shots. He had a steroid shot for a skin irritation on his neck (visible in some photos) that has since cleared up well. We suspect the skin irritation was from not grooming well during the initial stress of coming in off the streets. He's now grooming very well (and Octavia helps, too!) and this issue seems fully resolved.
