Physical Description: Marlon is black with white markings including on his face, belly, and chest, with white socks on three legs and one totally white leg. He has a trim, athletic build.
Personality: Marlon loves the simple doggy things, exuding happiness whenever he goes on a walk, explores the outdoors, and plays with a new toy. Easy to train, he is already great on a leash, housetrained, and crate trained. Marlon gravitates toward other dogs and young children. Adorable Marlon does a little tap dance while waiting patiently for his food or treats!
History: He was found as a stray in a rural area before coming to the IAR foster program.

Health Information: Marlon is current on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. Although he tested positive for heartworms, he has received the gentle protocol of 28 days of doxycyline and now gets Heartgard Plus twice monthly. This method gradually clears the heartworm infection without the need for excessive confinement. Most dogs will test negative for heartworms within a year using this method.
IAR Sponsored Training: IAR subsidizes post-adoption professional training with Jane Marshall (www.cheerydogs.com) to encourage a life-long and successful bond between the dog and the adopter. Group classes for puppies and adult dogs are provided at a substantial discount to IAR adopters.
