Physical Description: Rafa has amber eyes, with short fur that is a beautiful chestnut brown; and a white streak down his face, and on his chest, and toes.
Personality: Rafa loves people including his pet sitters, my neighbors, and repairmen! Very playful, he adores the fetch game and always brings the toy back and drops it! Housetrained and crate trained, Rafa is very obedient and respectful in the house, and tells you when he needs to go potty. He is allowed on the couch and rolls over for belly rubs. We are working on leash training and his confidence in being left alone and being in the crate when I'm gone. Rafa is learning commands, and so far has mastered Sit and Wait, and is working on Down/Stay. Rafa makes a great companion, and is looking for a family to love him and help him get over his fear of being abandoned!
History: Rafa came into IAR from a local shelter, where he got along great with adults, kids, and dogs. A group of people who had gotten to know him there loved him so much, and had advocated for him coming into a rescue; IAR found out about him and was able to pull him just before he was scheduled for euthanasia.
