Physical Description: Tinkerbelle is a pretty little Chihuahua, a golden-blonde color with a white chest and what looks like little white ballet slippers on her feet . . . well, on 3 of them, anyway. And like Disney princesses, she has bigger-than-life eyes.
Personality: But a full set of ballet slippers or no, Tinkerbelle is a graceful princess nonetheless. She's a spunky 12-year-old - still a lot of fun, funny, and mischievous, and yet laid-back enough to give you plenty of quiet time. In fact, she'll ask for very little from you. And what she will give back cannot be quantified.
Shy and reserved, Tinkerbelle takes a little while to warm up to you, maybe a couple days if you're female, perhaps a week or two if you're male . . . ah, but it's worth the wait. Soon enough, she's right there next to you, faithful and steadfast. Tinkerbelle is also a good watchdog - I always know when someone is pulling up in the drive.
She follows instructions very well, such as No and Come. She and our terrier hang out together and do great. She's a little nervous around our larger dog; but he is also nearly blind--so that may just be a healthy concern about being stepped on!
Her ideal place would be a home where she's the only dog, or one where there are other non-intimidating dogs; perhaps with older kids who know how to treat a little lady with a gentle hand; a place where she could have a human companion at home more often than not. So if you're looking for an adorable, balletic, sweeter-than-sugar baby doll, take time to meet my little Tink.
History: The owner of Tinkerbelle and her companion, Cosmo the Fluff, couldn't keep them anymore, as she had to go into an assisted living facility for a variety of illnesses.
