Finley

  • Animal Name: Finley
  • Listing Date: 06/24/2017
  • Date of Birth: Aug. 2015
  • Weight: 9 lbs
  • Breed: Orange Tabby
  • Physical Description: Finley is a lean, Short-Haired Orange Tabby
  • Personality Description: Finley enjoys spending his day lounging around, and the occasional game of "chase the cat ball". He has grown up with dogs and loves to love on them! He can be a little skittish when new people come around but warms up after a bit. He loves rough housing with his cat brother. He does well with kids (my son enjoys carrying him around or building forts for him), just not so well with babies.
  • Spayed/Neutered: yes
  • Vaccinations: up to date
  • Animal History: Finley was adopted from an animal shelter when he was 7weeks old, he has no health issues, we have a 10week old daughter and he just hasn't adjusted well. We feel he might be happier in a home without an infant.

Pippin

  • Animal Name: Pippin
  • Listing Date: 06/24/2017
  • Date of Birth: ~2 yrs
  • Weight: 31lbs
  • Breed: Collie/cattle dog mix
  • Physical Description: Ginger colored coat, white chest and paws. Medium length fur.
  • Personality Description: Pip is a highly intelligent and energetic dog. She loves toys and treats and picks up commands very easily (knows sit, stay, come, down, and paw so far). She gets along great with the other dog who resides with her- they play together and share toys, water, treats, couch space, etc. However, she is very anxious outdoors and has a dog aggression problem as a result. Unfortunately I'm moving away to an apartment with a dense population of dogs, and I cannot risk bringing her into that environment. I know how difficult it is to re-home an aggressive pet, but I'm hoping someone will be willing to take on the challenge, as she is so smart and sweet indoors and has so much potential.
  • Spayed/Neutered: yes
  • Vaccinations: Up to date, as heartworm medication supplied for the next 5 months. She also has the extra one that allows her to drink from stagnant water outside without risk of Giardia infections, so she's ready to explore the outdoors!
  • Animal History: I adopted Pip from a shelter a little over a month ago now. She was super friendly and wiggly and adjusted amazingly fast to our home and the other dog. The problems quickly became apparent when she began barking immediately at the sight of other dogs. We got to the point where she can walk by other dogs without barking but we still avoid walking on the same side of the street where her aggression can come out. She would be the perfect candidate for a reactive dog class and with hard work and dedication, I know she can overcome these issues.

Lucy

  • Animal Name: Lucy
  • Listing Date: 05/24/2017
  • Date of Birth: 2010
  • Weight: 9 lbs
  • Breed: Siamese/Tabby Mix
  • Physical Description: Lucy is a slender cat who is mostly white, with some gray mixed in. The top of her head is patterned like aTabby, but she has the distinctive white coat and black coloring of a Siamese cat. Lucy has two beautiful blue eyes, although one is covered by scar tissue from an infection she had when she was very young. She has light sensitivity in this eye, and no related health issues. (documentation available) Despite this disability she is an expert moth-hunter and quite coordinated.
  • Personality Description: Lucy is a very laid back kitty. She was raised around large dogs, and enjoys their company on a sunny afternoon. She also does well around small children. Lucy can at times seem skittish (due to loud noise, etc.) although once she is comfortable she is very trusting. For example, when company is over, she will seemingly disappear, only to return an hour later demanding pets. She enjoys very much being handled, and has been known to snuggle in beds, chairs, and even let you carry her around. (Her favorite way to go to the vet is on a leash)
  • Spayed/Neutered: yes
  • Vaccinations: up to date as of May 2017
  • Animal History: Lucy was originally owned by a family member who moved out of the country. We are housing her temporarily. Our son has developed an allergy to her and we are unable to keep her long-term.
